after experiencing homelessness, dimitri was inspired to channel his talents toward creating meaningful change. in 2023, he founded and launched reversebus foundation.
in reversebus™ provides immediate, low-barrier access to free essential resources for individuals experiencing poverty and episodic homelessness through a comprehensive ecosystem of redesigned city buses, vending machines and other services.
its mission is simple but powerful: to reduce the friction created and experienced from poverty and episodic homelessness.
by deploying fleets of redesigned city buses, we can provide safe spaces for eating, washing, sleeping and first aid – enabling reversebus to meet people right where they are.
reversebus’ decentralized approach to essential service delivery eliminates the limitations of traditional brick and mortar facilities, reduces infrastructure costs and allows us to be elastic and responsive to the specific needs of each community it serves – if we need more resources, we simply add more buses.
as of december 2024, reversebus has uplifted over 2,600 individuals experiencing poverty or episodic homelessness.
reversebus has also provided over 3,400 choice items through the freevend network.
reversebus and its mission are truly bigger than i could have ever imagined!
