awsm robot

dimitri snowden® created awsm – a.utonomous w.orking s.mart m.achine.

awsm is the first installment of a k-8 robotics curriculum seamlessly integrated into everyday content areas within common core standards.

standing an impressive 8 feet tall when fully extended, awsm features 15 degrees of freedom, 19 servos, rolling capabilities, lighting effects, speech functions, and semi-autonomous behavior.

in its design, recycled parts from a motorcycle, bus, and a snowmobile were incorporated, showcasing creativity and sustainability.

in may 2016, dimitri donated awsm to georgia tech, where it now roams the campus, inspiring students and visitors alike.
